Bellevuebos, on the border between Kortessem and Borgloon, is one of the larger forests in Haspengouw. You first hike through Hemelspark where natural play equipment invites children to go wild. Or after your hike, enjoy that tasty snack you brought with you on one of the picnic benches.

You enter the forest after a short crossing past fields and a fruit orchard. Here, in the off-lead zone, you can allow your dog to run free. This deciduous forest is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. In spring, it teems with spring blooms such as wild garlic, wood anemone, oxlip and bluebells.

As the name suggests (hemels=heavenly), you can expect stunning views. When you leave the forest for a while and find yourself among the fields, you can see up to dozens of kilometres away on a clear day.

Local farmers assist the Agency for Nature and Forests in managing the estate.
