Fruit Valley – blue hiking route

This hike starts in Boomgaardenstraat (Orchard Street), which immediately sets the tone. Stroll between standard orchards and apple trees, with educational and adventure elements for children along the way.  

You enter Molenbeek valley from Sint-Truiden station. It is amazing how people here, right on the outskirts of the city, pull out all the green stops. 

Halfway along, a naturally designed play meadow and a 15m-long slide across the Molenbeek river provide fun for children, to the sound of frogs croaking in the landscaped pools. There are picnic benches near the play meadow, making this hike the ideal picnic outing on a sunny day.
