Beringen be-MINE – blue hiking route

The blue hiking route takes you through Beringen's garden district. You start at be-MINE, the former Beringen mining site. Learn all about the history of the mine and download the free 'Beringen: the cité' app or pick up a tablet at the Mining Museum. Enthralling images and stories completely immerse you in the life of a former miner and teach you to recognise the distinctive architecture. 

You stroll through the Director's Park towards the nostalgic Kioskplein. The Mine Cathedral and Fatih Mosque are next door neighbours, demonstrating how multicultural the cité was and still is.

Nature along the way is managed by the Agency for Nature and Forests.
