Wurfeld is a hamlet in Maaseik and serves as the starting point for this hike through the Tösch-Langeren hiking area, part of the Kempen-Broek Border Park. Here, the Bosbeek forms a natural dividing line between two highly contrasting landscapes.

You walk through Langeren where the landscape is characterised by fields, meadows full of cows and farms. When you cross the winding Bosbeek stream, you enter a very different world of meadows and hayfields, wooded borders, small woods, pools and marshes of Tösch. This landscape feels much wilder and more rugged. You might also see Konik ponies and Galloway cattle grazing freely. They manage nature together with Limburgs Landschap, the Flemish Land Agency and the Agency for Nature and Forests.

The route takes you through Jagersborg. Formerly a marshy area, it is now an ideal place to hike, with its forests and meadows.
