Valley of the 'Zwarte Beek': Hike Beringen Be-Mine

Be-Mine in Beringen is not only the largest industrial heritage site in Flanders, here you can also enjoy a lovely walk. The mapped out walks all have their own profile. Discover the rich mining past, enjoy nature and impressive views from the top of the slag heaps, or go on an adventure tour with children, everyone will find a challenge here!

In total, you can enjoy 20.6 km of walking routes at Be-Mine, with the connection to the mine being the core focus.

A fun feature is the interactive blue route. During this walk, you’ll get more information about the mining life and the cité through videos and audio clips. The yellow route follows the coal track and is fully accessible to wheelchair users along its 6.3 km length. The green route is designed for children and leads over the Adventure Hill. Nature lovers can enjoy the red route, which winds over the large spoil heap and rewards you with a beautiful view!
