Valley of the 'Zwarte Beek': Hike Koersels Kapelleke
Koersels Kapelleke is the perfect outing for families with young children. There are various walking routes of 2.6 km, 3.5 km, 6.8 km, and 7.1 km.
For children, the Boeboekspad and Prikkelpad are highly recommended; the latter is also fully wheelchair accessible. Be sure to climb the nearly 30-meter-high tower, which offers a stunning view of the Kempen landscape.
You will walk through forests or over heathland. End your walk at the De Watersnip visitor center, where you can discover the flora and fauna of the Zwarte Beek Valley in a fun and playful way. Of course, don’t forget to enjoy a pancake or ice cream at one of the local eateries!

The Boeboekspad 'De Watersnip' is perfect for families with children aged 5 to 10 years. The path is 1.5 km long and accessible with a terrain buggy. You can borrow the Boeboek bag for free at the Flemish Visitor Center 'De Watersnip'. This is available every day from 1-4 pm, except on Mondays. A deposit of €20 is required.
