Stage 1: Haspengouw region

We kick off our Tour of Limburg in the courtyard of the Herkenrode Abbey Site. We make our way through Hasselt before exploring the fruity Haspengouw region. As our legs are still brisk, the Haspengouw hills are pretty easy to conquer. In Borgloon we stock on syrup waffles in the Fruit Experience Centre Stroopfabriek. Subsequently, we greet Ambiorix at Tongeren's market square, we cycle in and out villages and through open farmlands in Riemst until we meander down the Slingerberg direction junction 402, the finish line at the bridge over the Albert Canal in Kanne.
