Walk Gelinden - Egoven - Overbroek nature reserve

First mentioned in the 10th century as Ghedelu, Gelinden is located in a special asymmetrical valley in Haspengouw, 7 km from Sint-Truiden. The very special landscape provides numerous hiking opportunities.

The 'bones' walk nature reserves Overbroek and Egoven:
Walk along 2 nature reserves and the land of Zuyl, a chalky grassland that charms you with lime-loving plants such as cat's thorn, wild daffodil, rapunsel bellflowers, ... You start at the Nature House Haspengouw where you will learn all about the Gelinden marls (3 or 5 km).

Walk Gelinden, nature reserve Overbroek:
This walk (3 or 9 km) takes you past typical Haspengouw landscapes and the Overbroek nature reserve. Bright orchards are everywhere. You pass the valley of the Steenbornbeek, a municipal nature reserve. For keen nature walkers, this walk can be combined in 1 loop with the 'bones' walk. (+/- 13 km)
