Tevhid Mosque

In 1964 the Turkish miners gathered on the Paul Lambertlaan in a wooden barrack. Now there is a beautiful building with minaret here. This is a tower from which the imam calls the faithful to prayer. At the back of the mosque you see a bulge. This is the niche in which the Imam stands for leading the prayers. This niche faces east, in the direction of Mecca.
