Het Demerhuys is located in Diepenbeek, centrally between Hasselt, Genk and Bilzen — exactly where Haspengouw and De Wijers meet. You stay in a quiet residential street, yet both the centre of Hasselt and the entrance to Bokrijk are just ten minutes away. Arriving by train? Diepenbeek station has direct connections from Brussels, Liège and Tongeren.

The house sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. The fully equipped kitchen and the spacious living area turn cooking together and lingering at the table into the natural highlight of the day. Outside there is a cosy patio and a sunny terrace where you can round off the day with a Limburg beer. Free Wi-Fi, a separate workspace and private parking on the driveway complete the stay — including when you are here for work.

Cyclists are in the right place here: junction 100 is one kilometre away, and from there you ride straight to "Cycling through Water" in Bokrijk, "Cycling through the Trees" in Bosland, or the blossom routes of Haspengouw. On foot you explore Demerstrand and the Dauteweyers-Dorpsbemden nature reserve, the southernmost part of De Wijers, land of 1001 ponds. For a day of culture, the Bokrijk Open Air Museum, Alden Biesen Land Commandery and even Maastricht are all within easy reach. Hoge Kempen National Park is just under half an hour away by car.
