De Zilveren Helm

We welcome you to our B&B, De Zilveren Helm.

This holiday home has:
- 3 bedrooms with a double bed. The third bedroom has a side room with a single bed. Each bedroom has a TV and a bathroom with a sink, shower or bath-shower combination, hairdryer and toilet.
- Kitchen with microwave, electric stove, refrigerator with freezer, coffee maker, kettle, Senseo, ...
- Spacious dining and living space.
- Spacious cozy garden at the back of the house, with garden table and garden chairs.
- The garage is used as a bicycle shed.
- There are several parking spaces in front of the house and the garden.
- There is WiFi.
- The entire house is non-smoking.
- Pets cannot come here on holiday.
- Towels and sheets you need to bring.

To discover the environment you can visit our local forests (Kempen) or walk through the famous hollow lanes (12 m deep) which cross Halen’s hills. Cycle tours pass by small rivers with water mills, old monuments (like the Sint-Jansberg monastery with its typical café open on Sundays) and local musea (like the Reinvoart where you can taste the white Hageland wine on Sundays). Small towns like Halen, Herk, Diest are nearby. Further information on other events or interesting places to see is available on request.

Halen is known as the location of a famous battle which took place in the First World War. A lot of names find their origins in this `Slag der Zilveren Helmen’ (literally translated `The Battle of the Silver Helmets’) in1914 and you can visit a war museum near the battlefield.
