Nature and war memories

This flat tour starts and ends in the Schulensbroek nature reserve. You cycle along the Schulensmeer lake with its many birds and water sports facilities to Halen where you can reflect on the First World War. You pass the site where the Battle of the Silver Helmets took place. The highlight on the route is the unique memorial park with its 44 creatively crafted Silver helmets. Unforgettable.
