Whether you’re here to walk, cycle or simply enjoy nature, this is where your adventure begins.

Various walking routes set off from the Visitor Centre, taking you through the unique landscape of spoil tips, lakes and spectacular panoramic views. Along the way, you’ll discover the area’s remarkable mining history and the natural beauty of the National Park. Terhills is also a popular gateway for cyclists. From here, you can easily cycle towards the well-known cycling experiences ‘Cycling among the Mining Slurry Piles’ and ‘Cycling through the Heath’. Thanks to the extensive cycle route network, you can easily explore Limburg’s countryside and the surrounding gateways. At the Visitor Centre, you can also hire electric bikes to discover the area in comfort.

Those who enjoy spending the night in the great outdoors can make use of the pole camping site near the Visitor Centre. This simple campsite offers adventurous walkers and cyclists a unique nature experience right in the heart of the National Park.

The Visitor Centre is also committed to making nature visits accessible. For example, you can hire a wheelchair-accessible trailer here, allowing wheelchair users to experience the walking routes in an adventurous way.

In the visitor centre, you’ll also find a cosy shop selling souvenirs, local produce and lovely mementos of your visit to the National Park. It’s the ideal place to pick up something to take home or find a great gift for someone.

You can also pop into the Visitor Centre for a drink, which you can enjoy either indoors in a warm, cosy setting or outdoors on the terrace, surrounded by nature.
