Emile Van Dorenmuseum

Immerse yourself in the 19th century station d'artistes Gen(c)k, where more than 480 artists immortalised the Kempen countryside on canvas. The original setting of one of their homes, that of Emile Van DOREN (1865-1949), serves as the backdrop for this fascinating history and you will discover the old Genck from 1840-1940.

The Emile Van Doren Museum not only looks back at the historic artists' village, but is also a place of residence for contemporary artists who once again derive inspiration from Genk and its landscape today.

The Emile Van Doren Museum is a house of landscape and art. Don't just expect historic landscapes; in the villa and in the garden you can discover how the landscape has been a source of inspiration for artists of the past and present!
