Mining heritage Cycling experiences Through the moorlands Iconic cycle routes

The Kempen Route connects Terhills, the gateway to the Hoge Kempen National Park, with the city of Antwerp. Along the former Limburg Coal Line, you’ll find mining sites, from C-mine to be-MINE, all of them impressive industrial heritage with a contemporary interpretation and surrounded by vast nature reserves. Along the way, you can easily make the connection to unique cycling experiences such as Cycling through Water in Bokrijk and Cycling through Heathland in Hoge Kempen National Park. The other cycling experience, Cycling through Trees in Bosland, is right on the route and is both literally and figuratively a high point of the route.
