Attractive authentic house on a medieval courtyard in the Voer region

The 8-person holiday home ‘Oude Huis’ is located in the gorgeous valleys of the Belgian Voer region. Built in the 16th century, this half-timbered house has a welcoming, nostalgic look and feel thanks to its centuries-old beams, clay walls, red tiles, and wooden furniture. ‘Oude Huis’ is a fantastic holiday home for couples, hikers, or families with children of all ages.

The half-timbered house was built in the sixteenth century. In around 1750 it was split and extended to the west. Due to its dilapidated state and the poor ground underneath, the whole thing had to be disassembled first. The timber frame was meticulously restored and the gaps were again filled with loam on a wickerwork of willow branches. Later on, Het Oude Huis was transformed into the attractive holiday home it is today.

Guests of ‘Oude Huis’ can enjoy the sun on their private, south-facing terrace, and can also use the garden that is shared with guests from the neighbouring holiday homes. Light the fire pit and enjoy sitting outside until the early hours! With a swing set, slide, and sandpit, this holiday home is also ideal for children.
