Picnic
There are many delightful picnic spots in and around Bilzen and especially Alden Biesen, that you can use the whole year round. Just take a seat at one of the brand-new picnic tables in the English park, sit on the lawn with a view of the castle, or choose your picnic spot in the largest orchard in Flanders.
A path of about 2 km enables even persons with reduced mobility to enjoy the fruit trees in their full splendour. They can explore them up close using the raised wooden footpath that winds its way through the orchard.
You can bring your own picnic or you can order a basket from the Bilzen Tourist Information Centre carefully composed of the most delicious local products (to be collected during opening hours of the Tourist Information Centre).
