Landmark Roman Villa

At the Bollenberg hill in Borgloon lies the unique landmark 'Roman Villa'.
This design by artist Hans Lemmen reminds us of the importance of Haspengouw for the Romans.
The artist created five terracotta-coloured concrete benches that refer to the basic shape of a Roman villa house. On the benches, you will find more information about the Roman villas found in the area.

For a breathtaking panorama of the Roman landscape, walk along the 'Romeinse Kassei' (the Roman route between Tongeren and Tienen).

Attention: the landmark is not accessible by car. You can park your car in the parking space at Sint-Truidersteenweg, between Grootloonstraat and Neremstraat.

Opt for:
• a bicycle; the landmark lies between junctions 151 and 155 of the cycle route network Limburg;
• your walking shoes; start at the parking place and follow the walking routes of the Grootloon hike.

Address: Romeinse Kassei, 3840 Borgloon
