From mine shaft to the natural beauty

A relatively level cycle loop that combines nature and heritage. You start at be-MINE in Beringen, one of the best-preserved mining sites in Western Europe. The mine buildings, slag heaps, and the experience route of the old coal track Kolenspoor are impressive. Along the way, you pass forests and meadows, you cycle along the Albert Canal, and past the largest garrison town in Belgium.
