Diepenbeek

Centrally located between Hasselt, Genk and Bilzen-Hoeselt, Diepenbeek is the ideal base for exploring the cities interspersed with a trip through nature.

Things to do in Diepenbeek

Demerstrand is Diepenbeek's gateway to De Wijers, land of 1001 ponds. You walk through the southernmost part of that nature reserve: Dauteweyers-Dorpsbemden. Numerous ponds and views over the hay meadows form the backdrop to your walk.

Children romp around on the Demerstrand playground or in the play forest. The little ones go on a playful tree frog safari with fun play spots along the way. To do this, follow the purple 1.5 km walking trail. This little frog lives in this area and, with a lot of luck, you might spot it.
