To keep the cycle route network in tip-top condition, occasional maintenance work is required. Events can also cause routes to be temporarily inaccessible. Don't worry! Where possible, our teams will provide a safe diversion. You will be notified of the diversion at the start, after which you can simply follow the familiar blue junction signs. As a cyclist, you can continue pedalling carefree to the next junction.
In some cases, local diversions are not possible. Here you will find an overview of temporary closures and the impact on your cycle route:

Revision of cycle route network 2026
Our new Cycling Map 2026-2027 will be published next spring. Once again, we will be ensuring the best cycling experience in Limburg. From December 2025 to mid-March 2026, our team will be working on site to make all the necessary adjustments. As a result, the current cycling map or online route planner may temporarily differ from the actual situation on the ground.

Beringen: New route 340-337
A new route 340-337 has been added from be-MINE to Beverlo. These are two new junctions.

Hasselt: New route 83-98
A new route 83-98 has been added through Godsheide and via the iconic Tuikabelbrug bridge over the Albert Canal. Junction 83 has been added to route 100-97 for this purpose.

Tongeren-Borgloon: New route 155-289-140
A new route 289-140 has been added between Borgloon and Jesseren with panoramic views over Haspengouw. Junction 155 has been moved and route 155-289 brings you closer to “Reading between the Lines” via a car-free route.

Zonhoven: New route 99-92 and modification 92-71
A new route 99-92 has been added through the typical landscape of the Wijers. Junction 92 has been moved to the centre of Zonhoven. From Zonhoven to Bokrijk, you now cycle towards 71.

Tongeren-Borgloon: New route 547-57 between Lauw and Crisnée
A new junction 547 in Lauw will connect to junction 57 in Crisnée from March 2026.

Gingelom: Junction 281 removed
Junction 281 fell into disuse and has been removed. From now on, you can cycle directly from 280 to 510.

Works on Hengelhoefstraat route 75 - 74 in Genk
Due to sewerage works on Hengelhoefstraat and -dreef between junctions 75-74, this section will be inaccessible until the end of 2025. The route will be diverted locally. Are you planning a cycle trip in the area? Please note that the connection between 75-74 is now 3 km longer.
Changes to junctions in the Bassenge and Visé region
At the beginning of July 2025, the province of Liège made changes to its cycle route network in the Bassenge and Visé region. The familiar blue Limburg signs with junctions in the 400 series were replaced in Liège by the Walloon green and white signs with modified numbers. Three junctions were also added in Glons and Visé.
Changes to junction numbers:
- 407 becomes 7
- 432 becomes 32
- 405 becomes 5
- 411 becomes 11
- 412 becomes 16
- 413 becomes 13
- 414 becomes 14
Addition of new junctions:
- 9 in Glons
- 8 in Glons
- 1 in Visé
