St. Mauritius Church

The Sint-Mauritius church is located directly behind the town hall of Bilzen. It is one of the few hall churches in the region. The interior has been beautifully restored in the neo-Gothic style and tradition. The whole interior concept was rethought: the beautiful late Gothic sculpture was combined with Baroque elements. Remarkable and striking is the rich neo-Gothic coloring of stained glass windows and modern painting. Under the tower, the museum room refers to the connection with the land commandery Alden Biesen
