Oudsbergen


In northeastern Limburg, Oudsbergen enchants you with untouched nature and unspoilt fun. The name refers to the Oudsberg, Flanders' highest and largest land dune. The many hiking, cycling and bridle paths take you to the most beautiful spots of the Abeek Valley and of Duinengordel in Hoge Kempen National Park.


Things to do in Oudsbergen

Fancy stretching your legs? Hiking boots on, backpack with you. Head for the northernmost part of Hoge Kempen National Park in Duinengordel nature reserve . Land dunes, fens, heaths and forests cross your path. The Gruitrode Commandery is transformed into a gateway. Be sure to climb the Oudsberg and enjoy the stunning views at the top at 85 metres. Whether you are in top form or not, nine walking routes between 2 km and 14 km will put your best foot forward.

Hop on your bike past mills, farms, stream valleys and forests on the cycle route Stairs past high dunes and large grazers. Mountain bikers and horse riders also find their way through the Duinengordel on the mountain bike network and equestrian and driving route network.
