Capturing the bloom of the blossoms

When is the blooming period of the blossoms?

April is the quintessential blossom month. In an early spring, the blossoms can appear quickly. When the nighttime temperatures remain low for longer, the blossoms prefer to wait before blooming. Additionally, not all blossoms appear simultaneously. Roughly speaking, the early cherry trees bloom first, followed by the pear trees, and ultimately the apple trees. The later cherry trees may follow thereafter. Typically, you can still enjoy the blossoms for about ten to twelve days.

Due to the mild winter and the sudden very mild temperatures in mid-March, the blossom period of 2024 started earlier. From March 22nd, you could already enjoy (early) blossoms. The pear trees bloomed by April 5th, but there was still the cherry and apple blossoms to enjoy. Ultimately, by April 17th, all blossoms had faded.
