Take a look inside the interactive train at As Station or admire the graffiti art of local artists. The yellow walking route then leads you along a varied landscape of woods and heathland. In the middle of the area is a heathland remnant, where you may be lucky enough to spot the viviparous lizard.

The eye-catcher of this tour is the geological wall. Located in a former gravel pit, this monument reveals deposits that are almost 300,000 years old. Via an 8.5-metre stair tower, you observe this natural landmark on different levels. Did you make it all the way to the top? Then you are at the original ground level, before there was a quarry.

You then walk through the Bosbeek Valley, characterised by its 12 water mills. The Theunissen Mill, also known as the 'Old Mill', is a fine example of 16th-century architecture.

Nature in this area is managed by the Agency for Nature and Forests and Natuurpunt.
