Bilzen-Hoeselt is located both in Landscape Park 'Heart of Haspengouw', a cultural landscape consisting mainly of flowering fruit orchards, sloping fields and meadows and hollow roads, and in National Park Hoge Kempen, where the pine forests on sandy soil are particularly striking. So get out your cycling or walking shoes to explore all that beauty.
Bilzen-Hoeselt is best known for the Commandery of Alden Biesen. This historical site is the starting point for walking routes through the Haspengouw countryside. The interactive quest of Bilzen Mysteries: The Conspiracy lets you experience the domain of Alden Biesen in a very playful way. Young and old set off, armed with a tablet, to solve the mystery.
