Looking for a group visit? Villa Verbeelding offers kids quests, workshops and guided visits for permanent and temporary exhibitions. Every room in this white villa surprises you with another perspective on books and llustration.

The educational programme is suitable for different ages, from preschool kids to teachers in training. Also a discovery for people who learn Dutch! Visitors with a guide get an interactive tour and a creative workshop.

All year long for groups, reservation necessary. Duration: 1,5-2 hours.

Fancy a skate? From September to April you can glide warmly over the ice at Luna’s Ice Stadium’s covered artificial ice rink. The large skating rink and outer ring are suitable for experienced and new skaters of all ages! During the spring and summer months, the skating rink is transformed into the Lunaland indoor playground.

A new wave trend has spread over from America and Asia. The tight courses make way for their own imagination and the most diverse, natural forms.
In 2011 Ollevier & co made the first Country miniature golf of the Benelux, "De Piratenminigolf" in Ham. This minigolf consists of 18 well-kept holes.
The border was made with Grauwacke rocks. The substrate is very close to artificial grass on a water-permeable gravel surface.
The course is quietly situated in the Hamse woods, with a view of the nearby garden and pond center Ollevier & co and the garden and bicycle cafe De Vuvuzela.
This makes the Pirate Mini Golf a very suitable relaxation for groups and individuals. You can also have something to drink or eat in the African garden and bicycle cafe De Vuvuzela.
There is also the possibility to make use of different arrangements of PindaPinda, such as birthday parties, family parties, company outings, school parties, etc.

In The sixties, lifelike settings of a living room, petrol pumps and café take you right back in time. The ID cards are a nice detail which help you relive the period 1958-1973 through the eyes of a sixties character. At the entrance to The sixties, decide which character will guide you through these lifelike exhibits. A sixties star? A former cycling superstar? Or one of the dozens of other characters?

In Lommel, when the weather is nice, children can cool off at the play fountains at De Vryheyt, between GlazenHuis and De Adelberg CC. Would they rather keep their feet dry? Lommel’s atmospheric green parks and play forests are a great place to cool off and have a picnic.

Tip: De Soeverein Sports Centre also has a spray park with play fountains, a water cannon and a water tunnel.

An estate of 161 ha with rich fauna and flora, a fine educational fishing pond and a large field where dogs can run free nearby the parking lot. Kids enjoy the playground and orchard next to the cafeteria.

The domain and playground are open and accessible every day.

Visit the farm! Come to this pleasant farm, with about 70 productive dairy sheep and 150 lambs. Farmer Willy will show you how these animals are milked, sheared and cared for. You can taste delicious ice cream and different kinds of cheese.

Kelchterhoef is often associated with water. Rightly because the recreation park 'De Plas' has everything for a day out with water fun for the whole family: a swimming pond of about 20 ha, and a beach with delimited swimming zone.
From 1 July to 31 August inclusive you can swim every day between 10am and 6pm in the well-defined swimming area, provided lifeguards are present. The green flag means that swimming is permitted.
Admission is free.

De Soeverein Park is nestled in the heart of Limburg’s rolling green landscape, on the edge of the Sahara nature reserve. At more than 30 ha, this park offers excellent opportunities for sports, recreation and fun in nature. The Arena with its contemporary architecture is without a doubt the eye-catcher.

De Soeverein Park is a talking point on all levels. Because of its architectural design and stylish decor, but also because of its programme of sports and cultural events. Spreading over an area of more than 5500 square meters, the most diverse events take place here. The Belgian International Tattoo, Michael Flatley, international sports teams and many others have already trod the boards of the multifunctional arena!

Tip: Optisport Sports Centre, with its new swimming pool and tennis hall, is definitely worth a visit. You can have a drink or a bite to eat in brasserie De Kantine.

Get a Boeboek Bag in ‘De Watersnip’ and do fun tasks in the woods together with Piepel and Soeza. Make a cake with materials found in the forest or make a drawing using berry juice, use the magnifying glass to look for creepy crawlies or play a round of pinecone petanque.

The path is about 1.5 km long and can easily be done with an all-terrain buggy.

The Molenvijver & sundial park

The Molenvijver Park in the centre of Genk was originally a swampland that was fed by the Dorpsbeek. In 1967, the Molenvijvers were converted into a city park. The authentic watermill is now a restaurant.

You have a view from the Molenvijvers Park onto the most beautiful villas in Molenstraat. Number 80 is La Maison Blanche, the artist Armand Maclot’s villa.

You’ll also find a sundial park here, with no fewer than 12 ways to tell the time.
In this park in Genk you’ll find 12 contemporary sundials. They were designed byJan De Graeve with the help of gnomonists and artists from various European countries. The project brings together scientific ingenuity, modern technology and artistic design. Discover the creativity of scientists and the reasoning of artists or ... how art and science can complement each other. Even when the sun isn’t shining, it’s certainly worth visiting the park.

Many people know the recreation resort as ‘het kapelleke’ because it developed around the chapel of Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-aan-de-staak. This chapel has been a place of pilgrimage since 1826.
Yet there is more: the lookout tower is central in this woody area. Those who climb the almost 30 metre high tower can look out across the typical Kempen landscape. The domain includes a playground, miniature golf, trick pin bowling, a splashing pond and several lovely campsites for youth clubs. Sports-lovers can use the fit-o-meter or do some orienteering.
