Hoge Kempen National Park , nature in all its glory! The National Park in the Belgian province of Limburg is a unique nature reserve where more than 12,000 hectares of forest and heath are managed and protected. Domein Bovy is a pearl, grandiose in its simplicity.

You can experience De Wijers in miniature in the extensive 34-hectare walking park. Here, you can fully enjoy nature and treat your taste buds at Bistro Bovy or on a sunny terrace.

The wooden path guides you above and beyond the various ponds.

Children can have fun on the playground or discover the area via 2 small marked walks: Martin the fisherman (1.7 km) and Hare path (0.9 km).

Next to the courtyard (accessible to wheelchairs) there is a picnic area and an animal pasture with pigs, peacocks, chickens, sheep and goats waiting to be cuddled.

Dog lovers are also welcome. Dogs are always on leash, except in the off-leash dog area.

Haven't walked enough yet? 5 other marked walks leave opposite the estate (between 3.8km and 11.7km)

Do you prefer cycling? Domein Bovy is located on the cycle junction network between junctions 301 and 302.

The domain is freely accessible from sunrise to sunset.

There is ample free parking, also for buses.

To finish, you are taken to the observatory, which is equipped with an exceptionally large telescope and a 360° automatically revolving platform. When the weather is clear, you can even observe the sun.

Tip
In Kattevennen you’ll find a picnic spot with a difference just behind the Visitor Centre. Named Corpus, it was designed by nature artist Will Beckers. Visitors sit cheek by jowl in a large mown circle, cocooned by a sculpture made of corten steel and tree branches. A unique experience!

The hill is located between the hamlets of Genebos and Genendijk in the municipality of Ham. Despite its low height, the hill has some steep slopes. The hill has a base of iron sandstone. Kepkensberg is covered with forest and is accessible to hikers. The Ham hiking route network also traverses this area. In recent years, the municipality has regularly bought pieces of forest so that it can remain a protected piece of nature.

For years, children big and small have come to enjoy themselves there. Today, Kepkensberg is being put on the map more than ever with the addition of a brand new Multimove path. The signposted, adventure trail of just under 3 kilometres starts at the Scout classrooms in Bivakstraat. The hike starts immediately with a tough climb at the well-known little chapel. Along the way, you will discover challenging exercises for young and old. Moovie, the mascot of Multimove, challenges you to balance, throw aimed, jump ... but above all to move and have fun. Social workshop De Winning and the municipal services put their creativity to use. New playground equipment was purchased for a number of skills. There are also picnic and rest facilities along the way.

A water paradise for anyone who loves the sun and water!

You don’t need to be a water rat to enjoy yourself at this special water paradise. There’s so much to do you won’t know where to start jumping in and swimming. For the very smallest members of your family, there’s a lovely water playground. The outdoor baths are open from 1st July to 31st August. Then there’s also the wave pool, water playground, waterslide, fast-flowing river, water cannon and fountains.

When the weather is less fine, the indoor pool with its hot whirlpool is a great way to relax. And you can also get away from all that swimming and larking about and relax on the expansive sun lawn. The large terraces with catering facilities have great views out over the swimming paradise.

Fancy discovering the rolling Haspengouw countryside in an original way? Everyone knows our Italian friends, the Vespas, by now. But did you know you can explore the region with our cute Citroën 2hpk's? Sacre bleu! Route38's authentic 2hp, or "goats," provide young and old alike with a day full of fun, adventure and nostalgia.

The goats are perfectly maintained and all have their own name and character. You can set off on carefully mapped out routes during the summer. The Family Route is a tailor-made route for the whole family, including the little ones. Through the Regional Products Route you will learn about the products of the region (consumptions not included in the price). The Cultural Route leads you to the most remarkable places in the neighborhood. You can also set off in winter via the Vive l'hiver route to enjoy the beautiful winter landscape. Good at orientation? You can also map out your own route. Afterwards you can have a drink at the Café2CV.

The goats can be rented for a half or full day, but also for a full weekend or week. Enjoy beautiful views and a delicious picnic along the way. You can even rent the goats - on location or not - to turn your event or teambuilding into an unforgettable retro experience.

Walk or cycle through Hechtel-Eksel and pass various stops where you can hit an adventurous hole.

You depart from our location where you will receive a golf club, a golf ball and a tee from us. There will also be a small golf initiation at the starting location, after this initiation you will leave with your own bicycle (or rented externally) or on foot for a tour through Eksel/Bosland to discover beautiful locations. There will be a description of a golf-hole at various locations. (Eg: put the tee in the ground at approximately these coordinates and hit that tree with the ball in as few strokes as possible). The goal is to have as few strokes as possible at the end.

The vintage VW t1 bus with driver will take you to the most beautiful spots in ‘Haspengouw‘ from April to the end of October. Along the way, you get the necessary explanations. There is room for 6 passengers. Departure and arrival: Tongersesteenweg 100A, 3840 Borgloon (free parking). The ride takes 1.5 hrs.

Especially for the little ones, there is a play forest equipped with several large play equipment. Slides and climbing equipment guarantee hours of fun in a wooded environment.

In the sports forest you can use the fit-o-meter. You always walk in the greenery and on a surface of coconut shavings. A beautiful, relaxing route where you can hear the birds singing and if you are lucky; see the deer crossing.

You will find the play and sports forest when you climb the steps of the geological wall, right by the sports hall.

The garden consists of a hortus officinalis or teaching garden and an campus officinalis or cottage garden. Each garden has about 250 different herbs and herbaceous plants for you to explore. A place to always go back to and relax.
The garden is open from April 1th until 31th October.

Want to take a look across the border? The river Meuse is no obstacle for a cross-border bike tour.
The ferries ensure a smooth crossing. Cross the Meuse and take a look on the other side, a little further you cross the border again via another ferry.

The network of cycle routes in the Netherlands is slightly different to that in Belgium, but the routes dovetail perfectly with those in Belgian Limburg.

A new wave trend has spread over from America and Asia. The tight courses make way for their own imagination and the most diverse, natural forms.
In 2011 Ollevier & co made the first Country miniature golf of the Benelux, "De Piratenminigolf" in Ham. This minigolf consists of 18 well-kept holes.
The border was made with Grauwacke rocks. The substrate is very close to artificial grass on a water-permeable gravel surface.
The course is quietly situated in the Hamse woods, with a view of the nearby garden and pond center Ollevier & co and the garden and bicycle cafe De Vuvuzela.
This makes the Pirate Mini Golf a very suitable relaxation for groups and individuals. You can also have something to drink or eat in the African garden and bicycle cafe De Vuvuzela.
There is also the possibility to make use of different arrangements of PindaPinda, such as birthday parties, family parties, company outings, school parties, etc.

The Lotto BMX Track is the fastest growing track at Circuit Zolder. In 2015 the track was 60% renewed. Fresh and tight asphalt, but above all: an 8 meter high construction that nestled right next to the existing 5 meter high starting hill.

PURE ADRENALINE
The upgrade catapulted the Lotto BMX track to F1 level in one fell swoop: today it is one of the top 10 BMX tracks worldwide. From the new starting hill, the BMX professionals thunder downhill at top speed towards the first jump. Pure adrenaline: the distance between the two hilltops is no less than 12 meters!

A FULL-FLEDGED WORLD CLASS TRACK
The Lotto BMX Track is updated year after year by the men of Protracks, the promising official BMX track builder from the North of France. Thanks to the efforts of the entire team and all the volunteers of Circuit Zolder, the Lotto BMX Track will be a fully-fledged world class track after the 2015 UCI BMX World Championships!

RC Bosscherhof is part of the Hoge Kempen equestrian network. You can join us for a few hours or a full day on horseback in the beautiful, wooded surroundings.

We protect our blossoms with a sprinkler system, but fire pots and torches in a blossoming orchard create a fairy-tale scene. That’s something we want you to enjoy too.
The light from the fire pots and torches illuminates your path through the orchard. There is also an incredible fire-eating performance.
The route covers about 2km on largely unpaved ground.
Afterwards, you can enjoy a delicious snack or drink in Bar Bloei.

Cycling and hiking through the National Park

The Hoge Kempen National Park and its surroundings are great for cycling and hiking: shady forests with occasional glimpses of heathland or along quiet towpaths. Moreover, many routes are completely car-free. The occasional incline is part of the deal, but you do get a nice view as a reward.

Thanks to the cycling route network, you can discover the Hoge Kempen National Park by bike. The handy junction system is very flexible; the blue signs are your guide along the way. Station As is located at junction 41 and is one of the most beautiful departure points for a visit to the Hoge Kempen National Park. Renting a bike is possible at Station As, don't forget to book it in advance.

The hiking area of As has more than 15 hiking loops, 3 of which start at Station As gateway. In the beautiful oak and birch forests, mixed deciduous forests, heathlands, gallery forests and natural wilderness, you can enjoy unique fauna and flora for hours.

Natuurgebied van Veurs - Veurs

This is one of the most beautiful and important natural areas of the Voer-region. The exceptional fauna and flora of this area consists of ancient standard orchards, forest edges, slopes and grafts. It is an important foraging area for the badger. The hawk, red kite, little owl and tawny owl also feel in their element here. Intensive grazing management should give the limestone flora full chances to bloom again, including the orchids.

If you want to let your feet rest for a while, you can go for a walk with the covered wagon at castle farm De Tornaco. Ronny likes to harness one of his Brabant draught horses for a ride in the area.
