Once the headquarters of the Teutonic Order, today a magnificent heritage site owned by the Flemish government. Historical monument, tourist attraction, setting for events and exhibitions, center for European operations and congress center...Alden Biesen is it all! The domain itself, the church, the English and French gardens and the tourist reception center are free to visit. The moated castle with the restored apartment of the Grand Commander can only be visited with a guide or during a temporary exhibition.
