We would like to welcome you at "De Meule". Our business opened in 2018 and was built with authentic woodwork in order to feel and experience the real North Limburg. From our beautiful sun terrace you have a unique view of the legendary windmill 'Stermolen'. He braved storms and wind for centuries. Who would have thought that under his wings now more than everpeace and pleasure can be found .

Honest, sincere, Limburgian conviviality. "De Meule" is a place where you feel at home, meet good people and are a guest...

Stimulate your senses and discover the culinary surprises of master chef Serge Reyntiens and his brigade. Inspired by the season, the menu is full of delicious dishes, with ingredients that preferably are from the region. Pure products, transformed into hearty choices for you. Whether you go for a quick lunch or an extensive dinner .... Our team is ready for you with a warm welcome.

We are open daily (except on Tuesdays) from 10.00 to 23.00 (restaurant from 11.30 to 21.00) and you can have a pleasant chat until 23.00 and on weekends even midnight. Sunday we like to close at 22.00h to start the new week fresh.

Along the fields and forests, between the nodes 4 & 33, is this quietly located summer terrace.
This old school is in 2003 ago transformed into a summer terrace. It is a stopping point for cyclists, walkers and horse riders. You can, on the former "playground" under the old lime trees, quiet rest & enjoy something fresh, a beer, a trappist beer or a cup of coffee with a delicious big piece, fresh cake. And this at a reasonable price!
This is Limburg hospitality at its best!

De Smakerij

The Smakerij is specialty shop and bike friendly cafe with heated terrace, located in the old customs office at the border crossing in Kessenich. The store craft hams sold from different regions of Europe, cheese specialities, German breads, wines and local products. All these products are also used in the dishes that the cafe offers. Cyclists can enjoy a delicious Cup of coffee with home-made cakes for € 2.50. In addition, the building serves as a tourist information point for "Rivers park Maas Valley". De Vuvuzela. Welcome!

The Vuvuzela is an African-tinted snack bar with 300 seats inside and 400 seats on the outdoor terraces. There is a very extensive drinks menu with 10 types of beer from the barrel. Snacks, salads, pastas and vegetarian dishes are also available; everything with fresh ingredients. Every Saturday and Sunday morning there is a rich breakfast buffet from 9 am. You must reserve in advance. Stone grill and barbecue are also offered.
Against the Vuvuzela lies the Pirate miniature golf. This 18-hole "country-golf" is unique in Belgium. For children there are trampolines, a sandpit and a small go-kart track and a ping pong table. On the other side is the garden and pond center Ollevier and co.
Every first Saturday of November there is the Vuvuzela run. This is a nature run with different distances and nice prizes.
In the month of December there is a Christmas atmosphere every weekend.
The Vuvuzela is also the ideal base for cyclists and hikers. The route of the cycling route network runs right past De Vuvuzela. For the walkers there is the network of nodes so you can make nice looped walks through the beautiful nature on the border of Antwerp and Limburg.
