Fancy discovering the rolling Haspengouw countryside in an original way? Everyone knows our Italian friends, the Vespas, by now. But did you know you can explore the region with our cute Citroën 2hpk's? Sacre bleu! Route38's authentic 2hp, or "goats," provide young and old alike with a day full of fun, adventure and nostalgia.

The goats are perfectly maintained and all have their own name and character. You can set off on carefully mapped out routes during the summer. The Family Route is a tailor-made route for the whole family, including the little ones. Through the Regional Products Route you will learn about the products of the region (consumptions not included in the price). The Cultural Route leads you to the most remarkable places in the neighborhood. You can also set off in winter via the Vive l'hiver route to enjoy the beautiful winter landscape. Good at orientation? You can also map out your own route. Afterwards you can have a drink at the Café2CV.

The goats can be rented for a half or full day, but also for a full weekend or week. Enjoy beautiful views and a delicious picnic along the way. You can even rent the goats - on location or not - to turn your event or teambuilding into an unforgettable retro experience.

City park De Motten

There was a modest port near the current city park—De Motten—in the Roman period. Even in the Middle Ages, this area was one of the most important trading quarters of our city (‘de Leuren’). However, the neighbourhood fell into disrepair in the first half of the 20th century. The ponds that had been there were filled in and landfill pits were put in their place. The site wasn’t revalued until the 1950s. Since then, De Motten has been the link between the city centre and the new, more southerly housing estates. An outdoor swimming pool (which is now gone) was built as well as a sports stadium and tennis courts. Many of Tongeren’s sports clubs found a home here! It was also in the 1950s that the then heavily polluted Jeker River was buried underground! The water quality of the river has improved considerably in recent years thanks to intensive efforts! Therefore, it was decided to reopen the Jeker. It recently started prominently flowing again from the Velinx cultural centre along the Kastanjewal in the direction of the Moerenpoort and the city gardens. It is the link between the city centre, the park, and the neighbourhoods around it. It connects the Kevie nature reserve with the Velinx cultural centre, connecting nature and culture. Virtually every resident in or visitor to Tongeren can come to this park for some form of leisure experience. Sports, heritage, and culture are essential to this!

A new wave trend has spread over from America and Asia. The tight courses make way for their own imagination and the most diverse, natural forms.
In 2011 Ollevier & co made the first Country miniature golf of the Benelux, "De Piratenminigolf" in Ham. This minigolf consists of 18 well-kept holes.
The border was made with Grauwacke rocks. The substrate is very close to artificial grass on a water-permeable gravel surface.
The course is quietly situated in the Hamse woods, with a view of the nearby garden and pond center Ollevier & co and the garden and bicycle cafe De Vuvuzela.
This makes the Pirate Mini Golf a very suitable relaxation for groups and individuals. You can also have something to drink or eat in the African garden and bicycle cafe De Vuvuzela.
There is also the possibility to make use of different arrangements of PindaPinda, such as birthday parties, family parties, company outings, school parties, etc.

Picnicking in Molenvijver park has been given a twist. Designer Linde Hermans transformed one location in the park into 'Camp Carré', where the emphasis is on nature, slow time and social contact.

The marked Multimove trail in Itterdal Park, approximately 2 km long, starts at the Care Café Itterdal. Through the springbok course, hanging bridges, diving rack, balance beam, climbing forest, vaulting box, balance box, rings, and climbing nets, children learn to climb, jump, land, slide, strike, pull, and push, walk, and run.

In addition to the trail, the park's cafeteria recently reopened its doors with new managers of 'Care Café Itterdal' wanting to let people enjoy with their care background.

Tip: De Soeverein Sports Centre also has a spray park with play fountains, a water cannon and a water tunnel.

The Molenvijver Park in the centre of Genk was originally a swampland that was fed by the Dorpsbeek. In 1967, the Molenvijvers were converted into a city park. The authentic watermill is now a restaurant.

You have a view from the Molenvijvers Park onto the most beautiful villas in Molenstraat. Number 80 is La Maison Blanche, the artist Armand Maclot’s villa.

You’ll also find a sundial park here, with no fewer than 12 ways to tell the time.
In this park in Genk you’ll find 12 contemporary sundials. They were designed byJan De Graeve with the help of gnomonists and artists from various European countries. The project brings together scientific ingenuity, modern technology and artistic design. Discover the creativity of scientists and the reasoning of artists or ... how art and science can complement each other. Even when the sun isn’t shining, it’s certainly worth visiting the park.

Our long-ears give you a different view of your walking experience. After the success of these walks we have decided that they should be accessible to everyone and we have proceeded to the purchase of an "escargoline". This lightweight trolley can be used on any terrain and is propelled by a sweet long-ear. Two children, a disabled person and / or a senior, can sit comfortably and, together with family or friends, go over heather and through forest. Moreover, our friend is happy to carry the picnic. After your adventure you are of course welcome in the home of our donkeys. There you can enjoy our traditional fresh ice cream. Do you dare to take on this challenge? Do not hesitate to contact us. In a large open mown circle you sit nice and close to each other, surrounded by a sculpture of wooden branches. So you literally find yourself in a cozy cocoon. A unique experience!

We mapped out 2 loop walks :

- The walking loop ' Reading between the Lines ' is a 7,5 km loop walk with start and finish at B & B De Romeinse Katzei. Along the way we stop at Landmark Roman Villa for a snack and a drink. Highlight of the walk ( besides walking with the donkeys themselves ! ) is the see-through church, Reading between the Lines .

- The walking route 'Looking for Hellsheaven ' is also 7,5 km and starts and ends at B & B De Romeinse Katzei. Along the way we stop at the Tjenneboom for refreshments.

Before going on a walk with Nelleke, Olina or one of the other donkeys , there will be an extensive cuddling moment and they will be prepared by you for the walk.

Hoge Kempen National Park , nature in all its glory! The National Park in the Belgian province of Limburg is a unique nature reserve where more than 12,000 hectares of forest and heath are managed and protected.
