German war cemetery Lommel

The largest German Second World War cemetery in Western Europe can be found in Lommel. It is located in a beautifully tended 16-hectare park, where more than 39,000 fallen soldiers were given their final resting place.

But what stories lie behind this location and who are the people buried there? By appointment, a guide will gladly take you around the cemetery to discover together some of the personal stories of German soldiers.

Afterwards, you can take a breather in the cosy café Hof Ten Vrede, where you can enjoy delicious Lommel meatballs, a good cup of soup or a local beer.
