Belgium is the country of beer. Whether a pint is poured with love, is recognized immediately here. It is not without reason that our beer culture is acknowledged as Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. You can happily hop between different Limburg breweries, and in one of our many distilleries, you can combine all those beers with a tasting nip. With three jenever distilleries still operating, Hasselt has grown into Flanders' jenever capital. And recently, there is a Limburg whisky, gin, and rum on the market. The Wilderen brewery and distillery has devoted itself to creating a Limburg variant of these spirits.
