The Japanese Garden in Hasselt is the largest of its kind in Europe, the place par excellence to fully experience Japanese culture. Originally a Japanese garden encouraged meditation and reflection and that is no different in Hasselt. Those looking for peace and quiet can find a bench here to listen to the waterfalls, view the koi fish and feed them, have a picnic or walk around quietly and enjoy the changing view. Sometimes you can also hear the peace bell ring. Since 2016, the peace bell has a permanent place in the garden. In addition, there are numerous activities every month that are open to the public.

A Japanese garden is a place for contemplation and meditation. In spite of its location between the city centre of Hasselt and the main ring, the Hasselt Japanese garden breaths a delightful calm. It is an ideal place to walk around and enjoy the ever changing views or just to sit down somewhere and listen to the calming noise of flowing water ...

Bilzen now offers the opportunity to use a railbike to get from Munsterbilzen to Gellik. The 6 km long trail takes you along the most beautiful landscapes. Arriving in Gellik you can relax in the picnic meadow. Your bike will then be turned around and you cycle back to Munsterbilzen.

The largest indoor ski slope in Europe with a ski slope 350 meters long, 42 meters high and 30 meters wide. For skiers of all levels. Five ski elevators and a roller mat take you to the top. There is a 100-meter children's slope and rails, and a fun park with boxes, rails and jumps for freestylers. The little ones romp around under supervision in the indoor playground.
